Anxiety can take many forms, from constant overthinking and worry to persistent “what if” thoughts about worst‑case scenarios. You may notice physical sensations such as a racing heart, a knot in your stomach, or difficulty fully relaxing.

Sometimes anxiety is your brain’s attempt to protect you from perceived danger. Other times, that alarm system becomes oversensitive or misdirected. When this happens, anxiety can feel exhausting and may begin to influence your behaviors or the places and situations you avoid. This is where therapy can be helpful. You can learn more about my clinical background and approach on my about Jaclyn Staubach, LCSW page.
